Visual literacy across the newsroom

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

On most newspaper websites, every story posted needs a photograph, but because of dwindling resources – especially in the photo editing ranks - newsrooms are struggling to find just the right photos to accompany those stories. In this session, we will discuss the do’s and don’ts of picture editing for the web including utilizing archives, stock images and the wires while at the same time making sound journalistic and legal choices that bolster your coverage, engage your audiences and prevent you from potentially getting sued for copy infringement.
